It's the signature malady of our age: feeling, at any given time, as if you should be doing something else, and as if by not doing that something else you've either made the wrong decision or somehow violated our modern rules for living a full and meaningful life. We question everything, we doubt our decisions, we are never beautiful enough. Our lives lack meaning. Our bank accounts lack the necessary amount of figures. If we are happy, we wonder if it's genuine happiness, or perhaps we're just
settling. We long for meaning, but don't recognize meaning when it falls on our head.
